Integrative is a term used to designate medical and complimentary approaches to best create wellness in the body. Approaches such as Blood Tests, BioMeridian Stress Assessment, Hair Analysis, Bioimpedance Measurements, Body Mass Index’s, and Subjective Interviews are all vital in determining how healthy a body is. This information is vital to practitioners and will set them apart in personalizing a wellness program for their patients or clients.

Wellness begins with full body detoxification. One must remove toxifying factors from the body in order to gain a positive outcome. If this step is neglected no wellness program will achieve optimal results. The practitioner must first perform a history of the client. Next, he should ask for specific tests such as a nutritional blood analysis to determine what may need to be “detoxed”. This analysis will tell if the body has bacteria, Candida, or parasites. It reveals other hidden issues like “Leaky Gut”, congested gall bladder, liver stress, suppresses/depressed immune system, and malnourished or dehydrated cells. In addition, it will help determine some nutritional deficiencies also how well the body is processing foods that are being consumed. The next step is to do a hair analysis to find out if there are any heavy metals present, and to determine any mineral deficiencies that may need to be balanced before starting a detoxification program.

With this information, the client and practitioner can personalize a proper detoxification program. The programs may take approximately 6 months if done properly. The programs must begin with a colon cleanse. This may be done with herbs, foods, and colon hydrotherapy.

What is colon hydrotherapy? It is the gentle infusion of warm, purified water into the colon (large intestine) to remove impacted fecal matter and decrease the organ’s toxic bacterial concentration. The procedure generally lasts 45 minutes and helps create balance while toning the colon’s muscles for the purpose of improved peristaltic action, elimination and overall bowel health.

The next steps are to cleanse the liver and kidney, to remove heavy metals and to follow with a parasite/ Candida cleanse. Each step is specific to the individual and the programs are designed to accommodate present lifestyles.

Another form of detoxification is lymphatic massage, which helps promote the bodies’ natural immune defenses. The reality is that you have twice as much lymph fluid in your body as blood. The lymph continuously bathes each cell and drains away the debris in the circulatory system powered only by your breathing and movement. If the movement of the lymph system stopped entirely you would die in a matter of hours. The lymph system's impact is so far reaching that many do not even realize that minor aches and pains, low energy, or susceptibility to colds and flu may be due to a sluggish lymph system and a compromised immune system. However, the biggest impact on the body is to utilize the integrative practices to insure the best outcome. Ask questions and know as much as you can when searching for a practitioner that you want to partner with in your journey into wellness.
